On May 16, there will be a screening of the film „Farha“ in H11 at 6:00 PM. Farha tells the story of a Palestinian girl of the same name during the Nakba in 1948 (the expulsion and murder of Palestinians before, during, and after the founding of the State of Israel), whose dream of going to school is shattered by the events of the Nakba.
Before the screening, Mohammed Soubh from the Palestinian community in Paderborn will talk about his family’s history in connection with the Nakba.
The film will be shown in its original version with subtitles; admission is, of course, free.

Am 16.05. wird es in H11 um 18:00 eine Filmvorführung des Films „Farha“ geben. Farha erzählt die Geschichte eines gleichnamigen palästinensischen Mädchens während der Nakba in 1948 (Vertreibung und Ermordung der Palästinenser vor, während und nach der Staatsgründung Israels), dessen Traum, zur Schule zu gehen, von den Ereignissen der Nakba zerstört wird.
Vor der Filmvorführung wird Mohammed Soubh von der Palästinensischen Gemeinde in Paderborn über seine Familiengeschichte im Zusammenhang mit der Nakba erzählen.
Der Film wird in der Originalversion mit Untertiteln gezeigt werden, der Eintritt ist natürlich kostenlos.
